Our History

For over three decades, MTM Medizin Technik Mauk GmbH has specialised in the development and production of high-quality medical technology products.

Founded in 1993 by Rudolf Mauk and fellow shareholders with the goal of focusing more strongly on manufacturing in the growing field of medical technology, the first proprietary developments followed quickly. The approach behind every development decision was clear from the outset: the well-being of the patient and their fastest possible mobilisation are at the centre of everything we do.

DePuy, B. Braun and Corin are just a few of the major names that have marketed products developed and manufactured by us under their own brand – meaning "MTM" can be found around the world far more than most people realise.

Many developments and products came from the broad field of human medical implantology: dental implants, femoral heads and intervertebral cages as well as total knee endoprostheses – always complemented by a clear, effective instrument set. Over the years, many additional medical technology products have been added, such as a bone mill or vacuum devices for the preparation of pathology samples.

Today, the continuous development of our products, processes and services remains at the forefront of everything we do – so that we can offer our customers an optimum at all times.
